Its so beautiful waking up in fabulous Queensland.
Everyday my mum and I would go for a walk on the beach and later my dad, my brother, my cousins Isaac and Daniel and also my aunty Wizy and my uncle Brett would come later and we would stay down there swimming for a about 3 hours.
After we would all go back to my cousins hotel room for lunch, That’s pretty much all we did for the rest of the week apart from when we went to the theme parks.
🙂 I LOVED IT 🙂
Just as the car went past I knew it was the place the largest cactus and succulent collection in Geelong! As I walked in I started looking for cacti and it wasn’t long before I found about ten. I only had my eye out for one type though a Turks cap cactus. After a while I had found it a Turks cap cactus! After I got it My dad and I went back to Anglesa
Hello to everyone from Paris France .Paris is a beautiful city with lots of history and beautiful art works. I am having a lovely time even though it is little bit chilly. Life here is very different to Melbourne, the cars drive on the other side of the road, there are lots of motorbikes and there does not seem to be too many road rules- you have to be very careful crossing the road. I visited this very famous monument today. It is called The Arc de Triomphe and it was built in 1836. Napoleon was the Emperor and had it built to celebrate his victory in battles.
Did you know there is another Paris ,not in France?
Who can tell me where there is another Paris?
We have spent a lot of time walking in Paris and to get to places you need to cross lots of bridges. The river that runs through Paris is called the Seine. The buildings are quite different to those in Blackburn, some even look like castles!
what is different in the shape of the building?
We went to a beautiful church today St Chapelle which was built in the 12th century. It has these amazing stained glass windows. The windows tell the stories from the Bible. They used them for people who could not read. The first window tells the creation story.
Today is our last day in Paris, we are off to Spain today. Hope you are having a lovely time with Mrs Killkenny.
On the last day of our holiday we went to a zoo in the mountains for a night tour on Tasmanian Devils. I chose to do a facts post because I know it would be great fun to find out lots of info. Here are some interesting facts on the Tasmanian Devils Diet, Habitat, Breeding, Diseases, and how they are endangered.
First of all they are carnivores which means they only eat meat and are scavengers which means they find food that has been killed by other animals and road kill. If the animal that killed it is still there they just scare them off by making a loud and screeching noise. They have a strong jaw that eats the whole animal including the bones. They will eat pademelons, wallabies, small kangaroos, birds and wombats.
The Tasmanian Devils only live on the Island of Tasmanian and are not found on the main land except in captivity. If you had a Tasmanian Devil in captivity you would need 20×20 meters of land that was covered in long grass. With a few trees logs and rocks
The male Tasmanian Devil leaves the area so the female can have babies and look after her babies and he will be one less thing to think about for her. The female can have up to 20 babies maximum. But they are only the size of little grains of sand so only 4 max survive. The female gets very strong because they all love a ride on her back!
The disease that the Tasmanian Devils have is called D.F.T.D [Devil Facial Tumor Disease]. It all started in this one Tasmanian Devil so if another Devil gets to close and has direct contact it will instantly get the disease. This is so bad that they don’t have a cure yet but hopefully they find one soon. This disease is so bad that it has endangered the Tasmanian Devils. 80% of the population is gone.
I hope that you learnt heaps of amazing interesting facts about the Tasmanian Devil because I think that they are great. If you have any questions feel free to ask them in your comment and I will try to answer your questions.
